We made the trip to Red Oak, IA last night. It was Brian, Andy and I. Hope (Hope's is the bar we played) fed us a prime rib dinner, served us drinks and they requested my originals all night. Took turns singing and playing with Brian...pretty much an awesome night. She had us come to town for Tom's birthday (I didn't know who Tom was but she said he loves my music and wanted me there for his birthday so Tom is alright w/me:) so we played as many requests as we could for him. Luckily Andy had many of them on the ipod so we got off easy for not knowing some of them.
I decided to get festive this year and decorate my house. I got it all done, think it looks fabulous and then realized, no one ever comes to my house. I feel a little silly but I really like looking at it. The bad thing about decorating is that you always seem to want to do more. Now I want to get a corn stalk bundle, a hay bail and some pumpkins for the outdoors. What's annoying is that I grew up around hay bails and they are charging seven freaking dollars for them in town. $9.50 for a corn stalk. I find it annoying...so I will only buy one of each. ;)
Well, I think we are going to venture out to Vala's today. Let Charlize pick out a pumpkin and get dirty. Only after she naps. She has discovered yet another horrifying scream. It reminds me of the death eaters on Lord of the Rings. She's doing it now. I can't hear myself think.
